Intersen Phase Teacher – Afrikaans – January 2021

We are therefore looking to appoint an Afrikaans Intersen Phase Teacher who will report to the Junior School Head.

The successful candidates will:
• Require an appropriate degree or diploma with relevant teaching experience in the Junior School
• Be registered with SACE
• Have experience teaching Afrikaans in the Intersen Phase
• Have experience teaching across different grades in the Intersen Phase
• Have excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Be creative and self-motivated
• Be able to work under pressure, plan and meet deadlines
• Be committed to the extra-mural programme of the school
• Appreciate working in a values-driven, Christian environment
• Be required to uphold the ethos and traditions of the school
• Be willing to apply for clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register

Full-time Registered Counsellor / Educational Psychologist – January 2021

Our values-based education provides opportunities for our girls to hone their leadership skills and be empowered women in South Africa and the world. The successful candidate will:
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an education setting
• Be registered with the HPCSA
• Have the necessary technical expertise, including psycho-educational assessments, play therapy, individual and group therapy, parent guidance, case management, facilitating skills development groups and workshops, staff wellness and developmental workshops and the ability to build transformation and diversity capacity and support amongst our stakeholders
• Ability to manage crisis interventions
• Ability to deal with academic support and study skills would be of benefit
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team dedicated to the school’s psychological, social and emotional needs as well as administrative requirements both within the school and the boarding environment
• Be able to work across all school areas and in alignment with the school strategic visions
• Appreciate working in a values-driven, Christian environment
• Be required to uphold the ethos and traditions of the school
