PRESCHOOL TEACHER – CHILDREN BETWEEN 2- AND 5-YEARS OF AGE – January 2021

St Andrew’s Preschool for girls and boys, situated in Johannesburg, is an independent Preschool with a proud 16-year-old history of providing early childhood education to children from 3 months to 5 years of age. Building a strong culture of diversity is one of our main requirements at St Andrew’s Preschool and we are looking to employ a dynamic, inspirational educator to join our team.

The successful candidate will:
• Have a relevant teaching degree (B.Ed. with ECD specialisation) with a SACE registration number
• Have a valid First Aid training certificate
• Have high levels of energy and a genuine passion for nurturing and educating young children in an innovative way
• Display an in-depth understanding of the unique needs of this age group
• Show commitment to the effective running of the daily programme
• Maintain standards of excellence
• Be able to work collaboratively within a team
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Have good written and verbal skills
• Be computer literate and confident in the use of technology
• Be creative and self-motivated and be able to work under pressure
• Be willing to work after hours and attend School meetings and functions, when required
• Uphold the ethos, values and visions of the School
• Appreciate working in a values-driven, Christian environment
• Be willing to apply for clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offenses Register.

Accounting and EMS – Academic Head – January 2021

The school seeks to employ a dynamic and professional person in the position of Academic Head of Accounting and EMS who will report directly to the Senior School Head.

The successful candidate will:
• Require suitable qualifications and a SACE registration certificate
• Display excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Be well-versed in FET Accounting up to and including grade 12 and GET EMS curriculum and assessment
• Have a passion for teaching Accounting
• Have the ability to use and integrate technology in the classroom
• Display excellent organizational and team management skills
• Appreciate working in a values-driven environment
• Be required to uphold the traditions and ethos of the school
• Be willing to apply for clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offenses Register.
