Gill Jeffrey
St Andrew’s School for Girls is extremely fortunate to have four dedicated and capable Heads of Schools, who are supported by an excellent Business Manager and a strong Combined Management team; therefore, the Board has opted to incorporate the role of Senior School Head with that of Executive Head, a combined role that did exist previously at our School.
Mrs Jeffrey is passionate about girls’ education and whole-child development. She is invested in personal leadership development for students and believes that we should be aiming to empower each one to live, lead and inspire others through authentic interactions as this will ground them in our complex and ever-changing society.
An all-girls school environment is ideal to build girls’ competence and confidence, enabling them to become WOMEN LEADERS of the FUTURE who strive to care for themselves and give back to others.
Our co-created Strategic Visions are:
- Whole Child Development – We’re about more than just great academics and outstanding matric results. Our students participate in sports, culture, music, and community engagement, as well as spiritual input.
- Innovation in Learning and Teaching
- The wellbeing of our students, staff, and parents
- Diversity, Inclusion and Cohesiveness, providing a place of belonging for all
- The sustainability of our school
- Embracing our Role in Local and Global Communities
There are high expectations of excellence at St Andrew’s, but this goes hand-in-hand with having fun as we all learn together.
