St Andrew's is a registered ICDL training and testing center. The ECDL/ICDL is internationally recognised as the global standard for End-User Computer skills, and is widely adopted by governments, international organisations and corporations alike.
A number of Universities, Colleges and Schools either offer the ICDL, or recognise the ICDL for exemption or credit.
The University of South Africa (UNISA) requires students to hold an ICDL before they can progress to
Girls in Grades 8 and 9 are taught the content of the ICDL curriuclum during their weekly IInformation Technology lessons. Girls in Grades 10, 11 and 12 are offered the opportunity to complete the course material in their own time and at their own pace, either at school or at home by working through an accredited courseware exercise book, which includes practical exercises.
St Andrew's also encourages parents to register and write the tests on the assigned dates for testing.
Testing sessions are run bi-termly to allow the girls ample opportunity to complete all seven modules of the ICDL course within the 5 year senior schooling period.

Module 7: Internet and E-mail
The coursware as well as testing is based on the Microsoft application packages(Office 2007).
