The House System
The four Houses at St Andrew’s are: Athlone (green), Farrar (red), Milner (yellow) and Selborne (blue).
All girls from Grade 1 to Grade 12 are placed in a house and this becomes their ‘home’ at school.
Each house has a housemistress and in the senior school, tutor teachers who mentor the girls.
There are many interhouse competitions throughout the year and points are earned through academics, cultural and sporting activities.
The winning house at the end of each term is awarded the Efficiency Cup.
In the senior school there are social functions such as the annual House supper and each house organises community service drives.
The theme for the Athlone House supper was Green Peace. Each grade had to dress as a different aspect of that theme.
