Our arts and culture programme allows for a healthy balance between sport and academic activities. The Junior School is a place where young girls learn the skills that they need for life-long learning and to become global citizens in the 21st century. The arts and culture programme allows our girls to explore these skills further and engage in exciting activities.
There is also a very strong cultural programme on offer.
- In addition to weekly class music sessions, the girls are able to join the choir, orchestra and marimba band. The Junior School has an annual music competition that incorporates both individual and house items. The girls are given the opportunity to perform in ‘public’ at music assemblies and informal concerts.
- The girls can also become involved in the various cultural clubs available in the co-curricular activities offered at the school.
- The girls represent the school termly at an Inter-Schools Speech competition.
- The girls in the Junior School are encouraged to take part in at least one cultural activity per term.
