The Parents’ Association

The Parents’ Association at St Andrew’s School for Girls is a well-established organization that serves as an access point for parents to meet and share in various school activities. Every parent at the school is automatically a member; however, the level of your individual participation is voluntary. The Parents’ Association is governed by a committee of selected volunteer parents and it is currently chaired by Mr Khulile Macoba.

One of the main goals of the Parents’ Association is to participate in school activities and raise funds in order to sponsor five top academic scholarships by contributing a third of tuition fees from grade 8 to grade 12. The Parents’ Association also contributes funds to sponsor two children to attend the uBambiswano Programme at St Andrew’s. Additional profits are distributed by supporting ad hoc projects for the benefit of the girls.

In an attempt to reduce the number of fundraisers in the year, the 100 Club was established as the main fundraiser for the Parents’ Association. By contributing only R100 each month, the participants are placed into a draw where they can win R25 000, R12 500 or R5 000 each term. If you are interested in joining the 100 Club, please contact Karin Daines in the Finance Department (011 453 9409 or
