Why a girls’ only school? This is of course, the preference of the individual, but the latest international surveys tend to highlight several very important reasons why this is increasingly becoming the option of first choice.
The boat was bought because of a new boat class of Junior Women’s Octople was introduced into the regatta program. This was due to the increasing numbers of junior women participating across all schools. The boat is manufactured by Swift Racing Boats. As is tradition at St Andrew’s the boat is named after one of the World Championship or Olympic Rowing venues. The boat is named Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas after the venue of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Congratulations to the St Andrew’s School for Girls Council of 2018!
